Building Tomorrow's Anglers Today!

The Florida Lure Anglers (FLA) is a non-profit, northeast Florida-based inshore fishing club dedicated to improving the skills of lure anglers. Here’s a comprehensive overview of what FLA offers and stands for:

Mission: To enhance angling skills for inshore saltwater fishing, the Florida Lure Anglers (FLA) organizes monthly tournaments and promotes a friendly exchange of techniques, aiming to develop better lure anglers.

Tournaments: The club organizes nine monthly tournaments each year (“season”) starting in September and ending in May, targeting seatrout, redfish, and flounder. Points are accumulated by each team based on their tournament results, with additional points awarded for the release of healthy fish to support conservation.

Recognition and Rewards: Teams that finish in the top 10 for the year receive cash rewards, plaques, and recognition on the FLA website and Facebook page. Ladies, Juniors and Teens are given recognition and awards in separate divisions as well. We also have a big fish trophy for the angler that catches the largest redfish, trout and flounder for the year.

Diverse Divisions: FLA includes men, women, teens, and juniors, making it a welcoming environment for everyone. The club is designed to be enjoyable and accessible for anglers of all ages and skill levels.

Learning Opportunities: The club offers resources to help members learn the basics of tournament fishing. Seminars led by experienced members and local guides are available to help members improve their skills with artificial lures and other techniques.
